When you just started with your web to print or just moved to an online platform. The best way to do the transition is to convert your existing customers database to go online. The reason being is because it will save you and your customers time, at the same time gives both of you an efficiency by providing them a 24/7 online portal, instant pricing and their artwork ready for them anytime.

What is corporate portal?
an online portal set up for your active customers that allows you to configure their payment method, shipping, special pricing, assigning specific products and their templates online.

Why do i need to set corporateportal?
to offer your customer a personalised online portal (branded with their logo) exclusively created for them in order to streamlined their online ordering process in 1 place (ordering, tracking order, re-ordering, artworks, etc..).

Configuring Corporate Portal

The very first step of creating a corporate portal online is to set up their details and configure the portal settings. The details you are going to add when adding a new corporate will be related to general information of your corporate (company name, contact details, email configuration, account, corporate admin access and more). However, if you are going to create a simple corporate portal where your customers can find their artwork and place the order. It is not necessary to configure all of the settings. You just need to follow the steps below.

1. Corporate Details:
Fill out your corporate company name and set the email configuration (where the corporate user will get an email from, cc to, reply to, and billing email to). Upload the corporate logo and favicon to personalised their online portal. Set the username and password to give them access to the corporate admin (if required)

2. Configuration Settings:
Set up your corporate payment method whether you would like to set only credit card payment or both credit card and account. Set the shipping options as well (default website shipping options the same as a retail, custom – specific courier, flat rate or free shipping).

3. Content Settings:
Set the settings to all default to inherit all the website contents the same as the general public user (retailer)

4. Corporate Settings:
Turn on the pay on account settings if you would like to assign your corporate user as an account user (bypass the credit card payment). Click the notification button to notify the corporate admin, and make sure the status is active.

Q: Do I have to upload a corporate logo?
A: No, it is not mandatory – if there is no logo uploaded on the corporate. It will use your main store logo.

Q: Can I set different content for my corporate?
A: Yes you can, by managing it through the corporate content settings.

Q: What is the use of Corporate Admin?
A: To give access to your corporate to see the overview of the corporate portal (customers, order, templates, reports) in 1 admin page.

Q: My Corporate has a special price and i do not want to show the price.
A: You can manage it by unticking the ‘show price to customers’ feature.

Adding / Importing Corporate User

The next step of the corporate portal will be adding the corporate user. There are several types of corporate where there will be 1 person who will place the order on behalf of the others (i.e. marketing department) or each of user will have their own specific login to place an order online. If you only have 1 corporate user you can use the ‘add’ button to create the user. However, if you have multiple corporate users we suggest to use the import customers feature.

Q: Can i not notify the user when i create the new user?
A: Yes, you can turn off the notification button before you click save.

Q: Can i set only certain users to have an account under the same corporate?
A: Yes you can, first you need to set the pay on account type to customer wise and set the pay on account settings under the customer’s details page.

Special Products & Pricing Rate

One of the common reasons creating a corporate portal is because you would like to assign different price rates for your customer or because you would like to assign a special product available only for your specific user.

One of the corporate creation processes allows you to assign which type of products you would like to assign to your user. You will also have the ability to select which qty and size that will be available for the corporate user in the front end.

Q: How does the corporate discount works?
A: the discount percentage will discounted the profit (retail price – wholesale/vendor price) + the vendor price. Please see the example below:
Wholesale price = $20, Website Mark up =100%, Retail Price = $40 (profit= $40-$20=$20)
Corporate Discount = 50% (50% out of the $20 = $10)
Corporate Discounted Price = $20+$10 =$30

Q: Does the price in the admin is Incl or Ex GST?
A: All of the prices on the admin side is Ex GST.

Q: Can i mark up the price instead of discount the corporate price?
A: Yes you can by selecting the M instead of D in the corporate price page.

Every Corporate has a unique landing page that can be personalised, and this landing page allows the corporate user to bypass the general public user homepage and logged in straight to the corporate portal with the selected products assigned to them, special price rates and artwork templates ready for them to order.
