Analyse The Traffic To Your Site Using Google Analytics.

Here is a step by step tutorial how to install Google Analytics to view traffic to your website.

This feature will allow you to view your visitors overview. It will show you where your traffic
is coming from and what pages and products are being viewed most !

Before starting you must create your Google account first at http://www.google.com/analytics/

You will be asked to fill out a couple of details about your website – it is very straight forward.

After finishing your details and accepting the terms and conditions, you will view your Google
Analytics account details.

On the same page you will find a piece of code in the middle of the page, it is an important code
that you will have to copy and paste into your website. (Control + C)

Now back to your admin site, choose the Shop Configuration > Shop Management
on your left side panel and click Action.

Inside the page, click SEO setting on the top bar. Now, this is where you have to paste the
code you copied from the Google Analytics website. (Control + P)

To view your website hits, you will need to log back into your Google Analytics account on a
regular basis. Once there you will be able to compile a broad selection of reports e.g.
Where your traffic is coming from, What pages have had the most clicks etc.
